Life Update!

God have I been gone! This is the first time I am actually able to get on my laptop in weeks! I really should be writing my very last Religion reflection but I thought I would jump on her and make a quick post.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been getting ready for my graduation party on May 31. May 31 is also my last day of school. I graduate June 7 and that is when I will have a TON of time on my hands. I really hope to finish the May challenge SOON. I fell so behind but I want to catch up.

I don't know what this week is going to be like but I really want to get on here and post more posts. Thanks for being patience with me and I hope to be back real soon.

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 14

Day 14 is Ten things that make you really happy.

1. My family. They really make my day and I'm going to miss seeing them every day next year. Even when I've had a bad day they seem to make it better.

2. My class. God! After being together for 4 years and having so many ups and downs, it's sad to leave them. They really do make me happy and surprise me all of the time.

3. Animals! Just seeing an animal makes me freak out in a happy way! I LOVE animals!

4. Cute smiling babies. Come on now when doesn't a smiling baby make you happy?!?!

5. Romantic movies. I'm so corny sometimes but I am always in a good mood after I watch a romantic movie. The ones like The Lucky One and stuff.

6. Crafting and art. I get so happy when I'm doing a craft or in art class. I like to say there are only two people at school I would come back to visit, my art teacher and Judy the lunch lady.

7. Books, books, books. I love to read and find it so fun. If a book is really good I can finish it in less than 24 hours. Lately that has been a problem though...

8. Mumford and Sons. I love all of their music. When something goes bad or I have had a bad day all I want to do is go home and listen to Mumford and Sons. Their music is so calming and amazing ll at the same time.

9. Baseball. Especially the Phillies. It's the only sport I watch, love, and get mesmerized by. When I'm watching a game I can't take my eyes off of it. It's bad but at the same time makes me so happy.

10. Quite nights in bed. I get so happy when I can just lay in bed and surf the Internet, listen to music, read, or anything else. I like to be by myself at night.

Just ten things that make me happy :)

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 13: A Very Sorry Blogger

Day 13 is Issue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be.

I really need to apologize to my blog readers. I've been a very bad blogger. I have just been so busy with school, getting ready for the Mother daughter dance on Friday, and my graduation party May 31.

I try my very best to get on but it's so hard! I need more time and motivation in the day! If I actually used my time nicely more things would get done in a faster time and I would probably be able to get some blogging in.

I'm sorry for not posting.

I'm sorry for making you wait.

I'm sorry for being lazy.

I hope this makes up for all of the things I have done wrong in this month of blogging.

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 12: Missing Being Little

Day 12 is What do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

I really miss being little. If I could be any age for the rest of my life, it would be 7 and I miss that so much. At that time I had no care in the world and everything was great. Being a child we have no knowledge of the bad in the world and its great.

I can remember playing with my toys and just having fun. I never worried or had something on my mind. Being a kid is great!

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 10

Day 10 is Most embarrassing moment (s). Spill.

I couldn't think of anything at first (I guess that makes me lucky). I've never had a period accident, embarrassing fall, or anything like that. The only thing that came to mind was when I was little and I'm going to say that it counts.

Me and my friend Lauren were swimming at her house across the street. I had to go to the bathroom but didn't want to leave and go home (my house is a couple of feet from her house). She told me to just go on the steps so I listen to her and did. She went and told her mom and I was so embarrassed! I ran to my house and cried in the bathroom. I will never forget that moment.

Typing this was really embarrassing and I didn't want to do it. I will never do anything like that again!

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 9

Day 9 is A moment in your day (this can be just a photo or both a photo and words)

https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/u/0/?ui=2&ik=f5931fa9c0&view=att&th=13e8be2d71091270&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P85Szs-dskZU8RcQ9x18gUE&sadet=1368146786988&sads=aA92G9pP7k_BWkpJaDKdjbvF9_o

I spent most of my day reading. Both this book (A Stolen Life) and Wine in my Sippy Cup by Deborah Dove have been my reading choices for today. I love both of them!

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 8: My Advice to You

Day 8 is A piece of advice you have for others. Anything at all.

I'm not the best person to ask for advice but I do have a little tip. It's that picture above!

Don't try to be someone else or do what others want you to do! Do what you want and make yourself happy. Everyone is different and everyone is the best in different ways.  This Dr. Suess quote goes GREAT with my advice.

The other part of the quote (it's little and under the main quote) is do the best you can. This is so true! Not everyone can do the same job the same way. For example your best in grades may be a 75 so get that 75! Don't ever give up or do less of a job!

I hope my advice helped someone out there!

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 7: Shopping Carts, Escalators, and Bees Oh My!

Day 7: The thing(s) you're most afraid of

God two of the things I am afraid of are really embarrassing. Two of the things (not the same two) are fears I have from experience. Everyone is probably going to laugh at me but here they are.

Shopping Carts- Yes shopping carts. I know it is probably the stupidest fear ever but I have a reason. When I was in about 6th grade I had an accident with a shopping cart. My mom, sister, brother, and I all went to Kohl's to shop. My sister got one of the shopping carts to use even though my mom told her we really didn't need it. We were walking and she was behind me when she ran my foot over. I don't know how she did it. I guess she wasn't paying attention or something. The whole back of my ankle was missing sick and bleeding every where (gross I know!). We didn't realize how bad it was at first but then we say that I couldn't walk. we end up leaving before we finished shopping it was that bad. For 2 weeks after that I couldn't really bend my foot, and had to wear huge band aides. Needless to say I am a mess around shopping carts. I start freaking out but you can't tell from the outside. It gets so bad that I have to go into an aisle or against a wall until the shopping cart passes me.

Escalators- I kind of have a love-hate relationship with these. I can go up them but I have a panic attack when I have to go down them. I can't get one foot on the step and then the other one before it starts a new step. I always end up with one foot on the steps and the other one on the ground causes a split affect. It's horrible. I'm also afraid to fall do it because of the height. If I can I will find steps or an elevator but a lot of the times I can't. You know those moments where you don't want to do something so bad you just keep waiting and waiting? Well that's me with escalators.

Bees- Bees are the other things I have a fear of from experience. I was little when it happened, probably 2nd or 3rd grade. I was at my babysitters and me and a friend had just had a picnic outside. My mom came to pick me up so I picked up the towel I was using to sit on and walk to her. I had no shoes on and was talking with my mom when I stepped in a bee. What happened was the bee was on the grass and I put my towel on it. The bee was smushed but not killed and when I picked the towel out it fell onto the ground. I screamed and cried it hurt so much! They put cold mud on it but it didn't really help. Now when a bee comes near me I freak out and run. I'm so afraid of them.

There are my fears. You may be asking, "Is she a drama queen?" Yeah I kind of an but those are my true fears and that's just how I deal with them.

I'm know this is a day late but I'm a little behind on blogging.

Lauren

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 6: What do I do?!?

Day 6 is If you couldn't answer with your job, how would you answer the question, 'what do you do'?

Well since I don't have a job this is pretty easy.  I do quite a few things but nothing really fun or important.

  • I go to school every day, leaving at 6:50 and coming home at about 2:35.
  • I write, 2 blogs, and a journal.
  • I do art, mostly at school but I still love it.
  • I babysit, not a lot but whenever I am asked.
  • I listen to Mumford and Sons all of the time.
  • I read, both ebooks and physical copies.
  • I watch tv, movies and Youtube videos.

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 5: A Blog Friend

Day 5 is Publicly profess your love and devotion for one of your blogger friends. What makes them great? Why do you love them?

So since I just started this blog I don't have many blog friends :(. I do have one blogger who I would consider to be my friend. Her name is Jamie and her blog is Jamie's Journey Through Life. I'm not really sure how I met Jamie but I remember stumping across her blog and falling in love with it. Every blog I have ever read has been by a mom, or someone older but Jamie's is about her life as a teenage girl. We go through similar things too, which makes her blog even better. She is really the reason I started this blog. I thought, "If she can do it than I can!"

Jamie is great for a few reasons.
  1. She tells it how it is. I feel like she doesn't hold back her feelings or what is going on in her life. She blogs about the good and the bad.
  2. She is always there to listen or give advice.
  3. She is passionate about blogging! I can tell she loves to blog just by the way she writes.

I know I am horrible at commenting but I go and read her blog almost everyday. Thanks Jamie for being a wonderful blogger and inspiring me to blog. I hope we become better friends in the future. Keep up the good work and don't ever stop blogging!

Lauren

#BlogEveryDayInMay Day 4: My Favorite Quote

Day 4 of Blog Every Day in May is a favorite quote and why you love it. I’m a HUGE quote girl. I love the idea of quotes and what they mean. For me to pick one quotes was so hard but I decide on the one that I have on my school journal.

My journal :)
I stumped across this quote when I did a Google search for quotes back in September. I love it because it says you can do whatever you like. Your dreams can come true and if it can be thought up it can be done. It’s telling you not to give up and that is big to me. When everyone is telling me my dreams and plans for the future are too big or too much, I have this quote to say otherwise.

William Arthur Ward has other quotes that I also love. He is one of American’s most quoted writer s of inspiration sayings. I had never heard of him before but his books sound interesting. What is your favorite quote?

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 3

Day 3: Things that make you uncomfortable

Source
Things that make me uncomfortable.....This is a hard one. I know there are things that make me uncomfortable but off the top of my head I can't think of things. I spent a lot of time thinking about this and came up with some things.

1. Running into people I knew from grade school or haven't talk to in a while. I never know what to say and always try to avoid them at all cost. Not only is it uncomfortable but it is also awkward.

2. Having to talk in front of a group of people. I just hate this all the time!

3. Being put on the spot by someone. That is the worst! I try my best not to put people on the spot because it seems to happen to me ALL THE TIME!

4. Having an inappropriate scene come on the tv while my parents are in the room. I think this is an uncomfortable thing for every kid no matter the age.

Those are all of the things that make me uncomfortable. I;m sure there are other things but this is all I can think about right now. What makes you uncomfortable? Tell me below! Thanks for reading!

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 2

Day 2: Educate us on something you know alot about or are good at.

Source
God this day topic was hard! I’m really not that smart or very good at explaining things. After much thought, I decide to talk about tips for working in group project. I have been working in a group project since the middle of April and will continue to work on it until the end of May. In these last couple of weeks I have really gain amazing knowledge on working in groups. These are my top 5 tips for working in groups.

  1. Have good communication: This goes for both talking in class and communicating with texts, emails, and phone calls. Without good communication, you won’t know what parts you are doing and what has to be done.
  2. Have patience: Have patience with the other members. Be patience with how they work and how they learn.
  3. Be willing to let someone else be in charge: For me this is very hard! I like to be in charge but with group projects I have to let other people to things and not be over bearing. If you are also in charge and other people don’t like that they will probably not want to work with you and make the project harder than it has to be.
  4. Do your part: This may seem like common sense but you would be surprised how many people don’t do this. If everyone does their part the project will be easier and get done faster.
  5. Have fun: Although projects aren’t always fun, try your best to make them fun! Joke around while you do the project but make sure you are still doing it! A little fun can go a long way.

Those are tips on group projects from a girl who has done more than she can count. I hope they help!

#BlogEveryDayInMay: Day 1

Day 1: The story of your life in 250 words or less

I was born on May 14, 1995, it was Mother’s day. I was 6lbs 5oz and 3 weeks early. I am the oldest of 3, I have a younger brother and sister. Went to St. Leo’s from 1st to 4th grade until it closed. St. Tim’s was the next school and I graduated in June of 2009. I go to an all-girls catholic high school and will graduate on June 7, 2013. I have honors for the first 3 quarters and hope to have it for the last quarter. I have been going to school with the same 5 girls since 1st grade. From there I am going on to college to be a nurse. My first job was at a David’s Bridal and I loved it. I stopped working because they didn’t have hours for me. I become of legal age in 2 weeks and that is my life in 250 words or less.
