Birthday Memories

{Day 10}
My Best and Worst Birthday Memories

I've had 19 birthdays and most of them have been good. I can't really say that any have been great because I usually have average birthdays. What I can say is I've had an absolute worst birthday. It was my 18th birthday. It's suppose to be one of the best birthdays out there but mine was horrible. I usually don't expect a lot for my birthday. All you really have to do is say happy birthday to me and I'll be happy. Well, I didn't even get that.

So many people forgot about my birthday, including my friend since first grade and my Spanish teacher who never forgot anyone's birthday. I was upset because in my eyes it wasn't that they forgot my birthday but that they forgot me. To top everything off I didn't get a good cake at all and my whole family was super busy. I went to bed that night in a bad mood and spent most of the day wishing to go to bed. I did get really pretty earrings and my parents and siblings remembered my birthday.

I'd say that my bed birthday was this past one. So many people remembered! That made me so happy because for once I wasn't forgotten. My wonderful roommate and best friend, Bridget, surprised me with a little party. I honestly had no idea that she was doing anything for me and almost cried when I walked into our room and saw everything.

I wrote up a full post on my birthday here. Go check out all the details!

What has been your favorite birthday? Did you have any really bad birthdays?

P.S. Speaking of birthdays today is my sweet little cousin's 5th birthday! Happy Birthday Cecelia Grace!

Birthday Recap

Yesterday was my actual birthday but I celebrated it Wednesday night at school because my roommate was leaving on Thursday morning, along with last night. Let me just say that my roommate is the absolute best! She completely surprised me. Although it really wasn't hard because I am oblivious to everything. I loved everything about the night.

She spent a few days home and when she came back she had a cake, balloons, banners, and a gift for me. My friends help her distract me and keep me out of the room Wednesday night so she could set everything up without me knowing. I had no clue anything was up even after they acted strange.

I had been in my friends', Jill and Erika, room when my roommate, Bridget, came in and got me. We went to my room and three of my other friends, Miranda, Forrest, and Bruce, were in there along with all of the decorations. I was in complete shock. I couldn't believe she did this all for me.

Her sister made the cake. The reason it has Robin in parenthesis is because we call each other Batman and Robin. She painted the frame and I also have one other gift coming in the mail that wasn't here yet. I loved my night and am so thankful for her.

I didn't do much for my actual birthday. I did get texts, tweets, and instagram shoot outs from friends and family. I was actually surprised at how many people acknowledged my birthday. I went for a job interview in the morning and when my family came home I got a cake, cards, and gifts. The gifts from my parents are still in the mail.

They got me a necklace the stone will be my birth stone and a sweatshirt. On the back of the sweatshirt it will say my university name. I love them both so much. I actually had a necklace like that on my Etsy favorites. For dinner we had Boston Market because they had a ton of running around to do. We sang happy birthday to me after they came home that night from something at my brother's school. Really it was a nice, relaxing day and by the time I went to bed I had felt so loved.

Birthday Wishlist

Tomorrow is my 19th birthday. Nineteen really isn't a fun or exciting year. I just had my 18th birthday, which means I am finally legal, and my 21 birthday ins't for another 2 years. Since we left school on Friday and my roommate left on Thursday I celebrated with them on Wednesday night (more on that later). My brother has something at school that my parents will be at tomorrow night so I don't really have anything planned. We will have cake though. I also plan on going to the Phillies came for my birthday sometime this coming weekend.

Since I love to shop I have a long wish list of things I want. Not really for my birthday but in general. Here is the wish list.

A monogram for my laptop. Source

Lilly Pulitzer Dot Dot Hop Printed Bow. Source

Monogrammed Pullover Jacket. Source

Monogramed shot glass. Source

The Giving Keys. Source

 White Chucks. Source

Yes my wish list is filled with very girly items. I have so much more on my wish list but this is really all I would love for my birthday. I'll probably end up making another list for a different occasion.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday! I won't tell her age because everyone knows you don't say a lady's age. This is the first year I won't be there to celebrate it with her and that makes me really sad. I wish I could be there but with it being a Thursday and being in college I couldn't. On Thursday I have class until 5:00 so it on't be worth it or easy to go home for a few hours. I am going to FaceTime my family when they sing happy birthday so I can be there and sing (I probably won't though) with them. As for her gift I don't know what they brought. I guess I will see later what she got. I really hope its good! I wrote a little letter to my mom and here it is:

Dear Mom,
I really hope you had a great day! I know you did a lot of running around with Ryan needing to go get his braces off, get his hair cut, and go to the allergist, and Shannon needing to be picked up. I hope you got to come home after you did all that and relaxed. You really need a day to relax even if its just for a few hours. I'm sorry I can't be there :(. I really wish I could be but I have classes so late on Thursday. I did try to help with your present but that can be a little hard from over here. They have better had picked out a good present! I can't wait to FaceTime you so I can singing Happy Birthday with you! I'll be sad I don't get the cake thought! Happy Birthday, Mom!

Love,
Lauren

This is the first big event I will be missing because I am at college. The good news is there are plenty of birthdays to come!

P.S. Those are the only two pictures I have with me of me and my mom!
